Top Events List for 2001
12. Family weekend. Two cities, Chicago and Detroit in one weekend. Witnessed the birth of a niece, arrived day after the birth of a nephew - could not have timed my visit better!
11. Whitewater rafting with Mark, Steve, Ed and Sarah. Okay so it was freezing, but what a rush!, especially getting tossed into the raging river - best whitewater I've ever done
10. Yosemite! Looked Death in the Face three times but was saved each time. Thanks to Macy for scaring off the bear, Noelle for keeping me from falling off Half Dome and Paul for yanking me out of the river. Can’t think of a more adventure filled weekend.
9. Y'90 Reunion. 430 or so of my college class, along with their significant others and their children (egads) - especially Brian, Liz and Alexa (Ed and Cheryl took a bit longer with Rory) - Refreshing to see so much diversity of careers!
8. 31st Birthday Party. Thanks to everyone who celebrated - who knew that the female to male ratio was 15 to 4 Silicon Valley?
7. Green Card Party. Congrats to Peter and Steve, I can't think of anyone else who more deserve the title of permanent legal resident aliens. Plus, I stayed relatively well behaved and conscious for this one.
6. Holiday Hedonism. Can't say the same for this one - thanks for salvaging me Karen, I am told this one was (mostly) well enjoyed, thanks to co-hosts Troy, Steve, Natalie and once again Laura for putting up with the mayhem
5. Boot Camp. Managed to get up early (a feat unto itself) over 65% of weekdays and work out with Cody and crew including Sheldon, Victor, Leslie, Mark, and the whole boot camp gang
4. Leaving eDaycare, joining Sales.com and being acquired by Siebel. Metaphorically and literally, I went from Diapers to a Suit and Tie!
3. L.A. Weekend. Memorable weekend in L.A. featuring Skye Bar, Hilary, Manhattan Beach, did I mention Skye Bar? Ooops, almost forgot Cliff and Annie Rose's wedding - the cherry on top of the Pie!
2. Italia. Trip to Italy with 10 of the nicest people - Lisa, Chris, Steve, Val, Susie, Ann, Kiki, Bob, Laura, and of course Noelle for inviting me to join! Where are we going this year?
#1. As always, all the people in my life who inspire me to create, write and do the things that make for my sometimes wonderful stories - you make life special!
