Hi Everyone:
Once a year I have the opportunity to look back and reflect upon all the activities that befell me in the past year. It’s a Wonderful Life, thanks for sharing it with me.
10. Father’s 60th Birthday Party. What happens when you invite 60 or so people to a restaurant and the restaurant catches on fire ten minutes before the start time? Thanks to Mukund uncle for being the emergency host and I’m told that the money we donated to help the victims of the Gujarat earthquake was well appreciated.
9. Parent’s Week. Spent an enjoyable week going to Hearst Castle, Yosemite and the Nixon and Reagan Presidential Libraries with my parents and Sammy who made their second visit to CA in the five plus years I have been out here. Want to especially recognize my mom who went to India to help my grandparents in October, hope the week was a welcome break for you.
8. Weddings. I had a great time at both Rachel’s and DJ’s weddings - it was great to be able to re-connect with friends from Yale and Tuck – a great link to the past!
7. Book Club. Thanks Renee, Noelle, Macey, Nancy, Terrell and others who help ensure that I remain literate. One book in particular was eerily memorable.
6. Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball. I won my league – 2nd time in the three years that I have been playing. Also enjoyed the MLB season, listened to many NY Yankees broadcasts on MLB’s internet site.
5. Career. More changes as Sales.com was shuttered and I transitioned into the Siebel Sales product line.
4. Half Country Drive. Got to see a part of the country I have only flown across helping Karen drive back with her new to her Audi A4 from Minneapolis to home by way of South Dakota, Wyoming, Utah, and Nevada.
3.5 Marathon. I ran in my first Marathon. Okay so maybe it was as part of a relay team, but anyway, I can still say I have run in a Marathon. Thanks to Scott Feamster for his inspiration and my other fellow Happy Campers.
3. Anniversary Weekend. Karen and I made it through a whole year, we celebrated the occasion by spending a wonderful weekend at the Marriott resort in Phoenix.
2. Survivor Weekend. We took 14 ordinary Americans (our friends) to the wilds of Sonoma county (a beautiful campsite), spent 42 hours and 17 challenges to find one survivor. Stay tuned for the GRAND WORLD premiere of Survivor: Sonoma – an hour long feature film. Many thanks to my friend and colleague Michael for helping make this a reality.
1.5 Moving. After five plus years it was time to dispel any rumors about Steve and I. Thanks to new roommate Lisa for helping with the transition. Steve and Beth congrats on everything and I’m looking forward to my new status.
#1. As always, all the people in my life who inspire me to create, write and do the things that make for my sometimes wonderful stories - you make life special!
